Grantham Designer Outlet Village leasing confirms first brands

Grantham Designer Outlet Village planned for opening in Summer 2021 will be on stand R7.H6 at MAPIC in Cannes 13-15 November 2019. Leasing is currently underway for this premium outlet in a region where no equivalent retail offering is available. Grantham Designer Outlet Village will be providing a full retail offering of 270,000 sq ft within landscaped grounds and will be home to 130 luxury brand stores.

The leasing programme has seen an extremely successful start, with confirmed letters of interest and heads of terms from brands including Armani, Moss Bros, Levi’s, Gap, Chapelle, Denby, Pavers, ProCook, and Radley. Advanced discussions are ongoing with other high-level brands.

The outlet village has been designed around a quality environment incorporating cafes, restaurants, public spaces with play areas, 1,800 parking spaces, VIP centre and a visitor and tourism centre. The premium outlet village represents a £100m investment in the local area and will create approximately 1,500 jobs by the end of the year.

Driven by leading designer outlet village developers Rioja Estates and family-owned, local property investment business Buckminster, Grantham Designer Outlet is located with frontage on to the A1 on the southern edge of Grantham in South Lincolnshire. Lincolnshire County Council has commenced pre-contract works for the new A1/A52 junction which will give visitors to Grantham Designer Outlet Village easy main road access, reduced traffic pressure on the town centre and improved journey times. The construction work is scheduled to begin in autumn, Grantham Designer Outlet Village will be the UK’s only premium outlet village with a visible frontage and direct access from the UK’s 3rd busiest main trunk road.

Giles Membrey, Managing Director of Rioja Estates, said, “Grantham Designer Outlet Village is taking some exciting steps forward with infrastructure work already underway. We are really looking forward to filling our 130 units with some outstanding, luxury brands.”
